Do we have to use the main CB story in our entries?

Nope! Each team is essentially their own manga series, which means you can create whatever you want as long as it fits the theme! The CB story and characters only exist to illustrate the themes for each round.

Do our entries need to tell a continuous story?

You don't have to! But you may get bonus points if you choose to have continuity in your entries.

Can we include BL/GL themes into our entries?

Of course - you’re free to do anything as long as it’s PG-13 and fits with the main theme of the CB!

How can I be sure if my team name/alias is appropriate?

Don’t include any explicit or offensive terms in your team names or aliases. If you’re unsure then feel free to DM the CB twitter about it - one of us will get back to you asap!

Can I still add members to my group after R1 ends?

Yes! Just send us a DM to the CB twitter to let us know that you’ll be using a member pass!

How does the school shop work?

Your bonus points are meal tickets which you can use to get rewards such as extra member swap passes or grace period waivers from the school shop page on our website - just fill out the form and one of the organisers will confirm your purchase within 24 hours! Using your bonus points in the school store will not deduct them from your final score.

What counts as an “exceptional circumstance”?

Situations that are out of your control such as natural disasters, blackouts, or any other uncontrollable situation that may lead to a team being unable to render/submit in time can qualify as an exceptional circumstance. Circumstances such as renders not being completed in time despite the video being finished will not count as an exceptional circumstance. All exceptional circumstance issues will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

If we miss the promo bonus deadline can we still make a video?

Of course! You won’t get any of the promo bonuses but you can DM the link to us and we can add it to the promo playlist

Can I use multiple member swap/grace waiver passes at once?

Yes, just make sure to DM us about it!

I want some clarification about our scores/critiques - who should I contact?

Send a DM to the CB twitter and one of our organisers can help you out!

What can we do if our team is having rendering issues?

You are allowed to ask other participants and other individuals outside of your group to help you with your render. If it looks like your render will not be finished until after the end of grace period you may still submit your entry as long as you send us a picture/screenshot of your render screen which includes evidence of the render start time and current time.

What can we include in a promo video?

You’re free to do anything you like as long as it’s in video form! This can include member introductions, some VA, a short cover - it’s completely up to you!

How many teams will get through each round?

This will depend on the number of teams that enter/submit during the CB - we'll keep this information updated on our twitter!
